The "Polluted Sites and Soils" Department | The EPF and polluted | Today
In Nord-Pas de Calais, the end of the 2000-2006 Planning Contract meant the end of dedicated funds for the Polluted Sites and Soils Department and the setting up of a new coordination scheme initiated by the state (DREAL) and the Nord-Pas de Calais region (DEED), called Réseau de Solutions pour les Sédiments et les Sols Pollués.
The EPF Nord-Pas de Calais takes part in the network management alongside the GIS-SSP (Groupement d’Intérêt Scientifique Sites et Sols Pollués) which succeeded the CNRSPP in Douai and with the CD2E (Centre de Développement des Eco-Entreprises) based in Loos-en-Gohelle.
On the national level, the polluted soils issue is widely shared within the network of state EPFs.
